The artist hails from the Vindhyasatpura region of Madhya Pradesh, where the rivers Narmada and Tapti flow through forests and tall trees. This region, with its wildlife, influenced her early years, particularly her focus on antlered animals.

Her work reflects the morning sunlight on these animals, creating tones of sepia, brown, red, and rust. These elements are central to her creative expression.

Divya employs various artistic techniques, including watercolor, etching, woodcut, wood engraving, stone lithography, and intaglio, to create elegant depictions of these majestic animals, embodying her artistic vision.
